High tension belt installation
Special timing belt mounted high tension causes the belt tooth shear or fracture. A lot of high tension belt in the belt tooth surface are clearly left tooth wear. Figure 6 is a pressed surface area and root cracking examples. Root crack will usually pass the core wire extends to the adjacent cracks, individual belt tooth will slowly drop. Figure 7 is a high tension belt in the belt wheel are signs of excessive wear. High pressure causes the belt belt surface of large area wear, eventually leading to the belt core wire exposed. In order to prevent such wear problems, Special timing belts appropriate belt mounting tension values must be accurately set.
